About Us

Chris and Mandy spent much of their early life together in North Yorkshire and spent many holidays visiting the areas around Leyburn and Hawes. This developed a deep love of the area, and after a long time searching for the right place, we found Butterside Cottage in the quaint hamlet of Burtersett.

With 2 good sized bedrooms, a wood burner and outside seating space the cottage ticked all our boxes, as we hope it will for you!

The cottage comes with oil-fired central heating, Wi-Fi and sky TV. The kitchen is equipped with a double oven and grill, in-built microwave oven fridge and freezer. A washing machine is provided should you require one. Meals can be taken around the pine table, or outside in the ‘courtyard’.

The living room has comfortable seating to make the most of the log burner, logs and fire lighting ‘stuff’ are provided to ‘get you going’ with the fire (for those of you unfamiliar with managing a fire, full instructions how to light this are provided at the information file). Although a small fireguard is provided this is not considered safe for small children.

We have provided cards and a number of other games along with books and DVDs in the white cupboard, if you haven’t finished your book by the end of your stay please feel free to take it with you / swap it.

Butterside cottage is dog friendly, and a jar of dog biscuits is provided in the kitchen. We do ask that your four legged friend does not go upstairs, and is not allowed on the furniture. Should you forget your dog bowls you will find some under the sink.
